These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Capture X browser extension ("the Extension") and this website ("the Site"). By installing the Extension or using the Site, you agree to these Terms.
1. License to use
We grant you a free, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Extension for lawful purposes. You may use it for both personal and professional work.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Extension or Site to:
- violate any applicable law or regulation;
- infringe the intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights of any person — for example, capturing and redistributing copyrighted content without permission;
- capture or share confidential information you are not authorized to access;
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or redistribute the Extension, except where permitted by law.
You are solely responsible for the screenshots you create and how you use and share them.
3. Intellectual property
The Extension, the Site, and their design, code, text, and branding are the property of the developer and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Screenshots you create from third-party websites may contain content owned by those third parties; respecting their rights is your responsibility.
4. No warranty
The Extension and Site are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Extension will work on every website, be uninterrupted, or be error-free.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Extension or Site.
6. Third-party services
Optional features such as uploading to Google Drive rely on third-party services governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
7. Changes to the Extension and these Terms
We may update, change, or discontinue features of the Extension at any time. We may also revise these Terms; the current version will always be posted on this page with its "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Extension at any time by uninstalling it from Chrome. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms.
